Ingredients

1 package of fresh or frozen cheese ravioli (approximately 9-12 oz)

2 cups marinara sauce (use store-bought or homemade)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Ricotta Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ricotta cheese, egg, dried basil, dried oregano, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until the ingredients are well blended and creamy.

Assemble the Layers: In a 9x13-inch baking dish or a similarly sized oven-safe dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce (about 1/2 cup) evenly across the bottom.

Layering Ravioli: Place half of the ravioli in a single layer over the marinara sauce. Spoon half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli, then sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top for added flavor and creaminess.

Repeat Layers: Next, pour another layer of marinara sauce over the ravioli. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ravioli, followed by the rest of the ricotta mixture. Finish off with another layer of marinara sauce topped with the remaining mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

Add Extra Sauce: For added flavor and moisture, drizzle any leftover marinara sauce over the top layer of cheese.

Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to retain moisture. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After this time, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Once your dish is finished baking, carefully take it out from the oven and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes. Before serving, garnish with fresh basil leaves and a light drizzle of olive oil to enhance the dish's aroma and presentation.

Enjoy: Serve your Lazy Lasagna Ravioli with a crisp side salad or warm garlic bread to complete this delightful meal!
