Ingredients

2 ripe peaches, cut into wedges

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Fresh basil leaves

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Skewers (8-inch wooden or metal)

Instructions

Prepare Ingredients: Begin by cutting the ripe peaches into wedges. Halve the cherry tomatoes and rinse the fresh basil leaves under cool water. If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10-15 minutes to prevent burning during grilling or roasting.

Assemble Skewers: Take a skewer and start threading your ingredients: first slide on a wedge of peach, followed by a fresh basil leaf, then a mozzarella ball, and a halved cherry tomato. Repeat this threading pattern until the skewer is filled, typically aiming for three to four sets of the ingredients to maintain a vibrant and colorful look. Leave a small gap at both ends of the skewer for easy handling.

Season the Skewers: After all skewers are assembled, drizzle them lightly with extra virgin olive oil. Season generously with salt and freshly cracked black pepper for a boost of flavor that complements the fresh ingredients.

Drizzle Balsamic Glaze: Arrange the assembled skewers on a serving platter. Lightly drizzle them with balsamic glaze, which will not only enhance the flavor but also add a beautiful finishing touch visually.

Serve: To elevate the presentation, garnish with any remaining basil leaves scattered around the skewers. Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer or a colorful side dish to impress your guests!
