Ingredients

2 cups frozen edamame, shelled

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust based on spice preference)

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Edamame:

    - Bring a large pot of water to a vigorous boil. Carefully add the frozen edamame and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender yet still maintain a slight firmness. Once cooked, drain the edamame and set them aside in a colander to remove excess moisture.

      Prepare the Garlic Oil:

        - In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for approximately 1 minute, stirring frequently, until the garlic releases its aromatic scent but avoid letting it brown, as this may give a bitter taste.

          Combine Edamame and Seasoning:

            - Introduce the drained edamame to the skillet, tossing them gently in the garlic-infused oil to ensure even coverage. Season the mixture with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, continuing to toss until well mixed and flavorful.

              Add the Cheese and Lemon:

                - Remove the skillet from heat. Evenly sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the warm edamame, letting it melt slightly from the heat. Follow by drizzling lemon juice over the mixture, stirring gently until the cheese is melted and every piece is well coated.

                  Garnish and Serve:

                    - Carefully transfer the cheesy garlic edamame into a serving bowl. Top with freshly chopped parsley to add a vibrant touch and an extra burst of flavor. Serve warm as a delightful appetizer or a wholesome snack.
