Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80/20)

8 ounces cremini mushrooms, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

12 slider buns

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Dijon mustard and lettuce for serving

Instructions

Sauté the Mushrooms:

In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, incorporate the finely chopped cremini mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms release their moisture and begin to turn golden brown. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, continuing to cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the onions are translucent. Remove the skillet from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

      Prepare the Beef Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the sautéed mushroom mixture, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are just combined, being careful not to overmix as this can make the sliders tough.

          Form the Sliders:

Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small patty that fits the size of your slider buns. To ensure even cooking, use your thumb to create a slight indentation in the center of each patty.

              Cook the Sliders:

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and heat over medium-high. Cook the patties in batches for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side, until they reach your preferred doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese atop each patty, allowing it to melt.

                  Assemble the Sliders:

While the patties are cooking, consider toasting the slider buns in a separate skillet or a toaster for added texture. Once the patties are cooked through and the cheese is melted, place each patty on the bottom half of a slider bun.

                      Garnish and Serve:

Top each slider with optional Dijon mustard and a leaf of lettuce. Finish by placing the top half of the bun on each slider. For an added touch, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the sliders before serving. Serve warm and savor every bite!
