1 cup fresh mango chunks (or frozen mango, thawed slightly)

1 cup coconut milk (or your preferred milk alternative)

1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (taste and adjust as desired)

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves (for optional garnish)

Additional mango slices (for optional garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Mango Puree:

    - If using fresh mango, peel and chop it into small pieces. Place the mango chunks into a blender and blend until smooth. If you opt for frozen mango, allow it to thaw slightly before blending. Once smooth, set the puree aside.

      Mix the Matcha:

        - In a small bowl, combine the matcha green tea powder with 1 tablespoon of hot (but not boiling) water. Whisk thoroughly using a bamboo whisk or a regular spoon until the matcha is fully dissolved and there are no lumps. Let the matcha mixture cool slightly.

          Combine the Base Ingredients:

            - In a large glass or jar, combine the coconut milk, honey or maple syrup, the cooled matcha paste, and the vanilla extract. Stir vigorously until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is smooth.

              Layer It Up:

                - Take a separate glass and fill it with ice cubes. Pour the mango puree over the ice until the glass is about halfway full.

                  Pour the Matcha Mixture:

                    - Slowly pour the matcha and coconut milk blend over the mango puree. For a stunning layered effect, hold a spoon upside down over the glass and pour the mixture gently over the spoon.
