Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 mini slider buns

4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced

1 cup fresh arugula or baby spinach

Pickles for garnish (optional)

Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or for up to 2 hours to enhance flavor.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and place it in the skillet. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it's golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Transfer the cooked chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.

Prepare the Slider Buns: While the chicken is resting, take the mini slider buns and slice them in half horizontally. Lightly toast the buns in the same skillet over low heat or under a broiler until they are golden brown and slightly crispy.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each slider bun, place a slice of sharp cheddar cheese. Follow with several strips of the honey mustard chicken and a generous handful of fresh arugula. If you like, add a few pickles on top for an extra crunch. Finish by placing the top half of the bun over the fillings.

Serve: Arrange the assembled sliders on a serving platter. Serve warm and consider offering extra honey mustard sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling.

Prep Time: 10 min | Total Time: 50 min | Servings: 8 sliders

              - Presentation Tips: Garnish each platter with fresh herbs or a small bowl of pickles to add color and vibrancy to your table setting.
