Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup warm water (approximately 110°F or 43°C)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)

Additional melted butter for brushing

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the instant yeast over the top and let the mixture sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes, until it becomes frothy and bubbly.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture, using a wooden spoon or spatula to stir until a soft and slightly sticky dough begins to form.

Incorporate Butter: Pour in the melted butter and stir until it is fully absorbed into the dough.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes, or until it feels smooth and elastic, and springs back when poked.

First Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap to retain warmth. Allow it to rise in a warm environment for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Make Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, just until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.

Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, leaving a little space between each roll.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls again with a kitchen towel and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes, or until they have expanded and are puffy.

Preheat the Oven: While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brush with Garlic Butter: After the second rise, generously brush the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.

Final Touch: As soon as the rolls are out of the oven, brush them with any remaining garlic butter. For an extra burst of flavor, sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.

Serve: Serve the rolls warm as a delightful accompaniment to soups, salads, or your favorite main dishes!

Presentation Tips: Arrange the warm rolls on a serving platter and garnish with extra parsley for a pop of color. Consider serving them with a small dish of extra garlic butter on the side for dipping!
