Avocado Toast with Spicy Chickpeas

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon ground cumin

2 large ripe avocados

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

4 slices of whole-grain or sourdough bread

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for garnish)

Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will prepare it for roasting the chickpeas to perfection.

    Prepare the Chickpeas: On a large baking sheet, spread the drained chickpeas out in a single layer.
