Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenders

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Panko preferred for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup buffalo sauce (adjust according to desired spice level)

Olive oil spray

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, place the chicken tenders and pour the buttermilk over them. Use a spoon or your hands to ensure the tenders are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow the chicken to soak up the flavors.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish (such as a pie plate), whisk together the all-purpose flour, Panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Coat the Chicken: After marinating, take the chicken tenders out of the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off. One at a time, dredge each tender into the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating. Make sure to shake off any excess flour for a perfect finish.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes, giving it time to reach the desired temperature.

Air Fry the Chicken: Spritz the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil spray. Place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket, making sure they don't touch to ensure even cooking. Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with additional olive oil spray for an extra crispy texture.

Cooking Time: Air fry the chicken tenders for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking process. You’ll know they’re done when they are golden brown and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Toss in Buffalo Sauce: In a large serving bowl, add the cooked tenders and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Gently toss the chicken until they are completely coated with the sauce based on your preferred level of heat.

Serve: Transfer the sauced tenders to a serving platter. Enjoy them immediately while warm, accompanied by your favorite dipping sauces, crunchy celery sticks, and creamy blue cheese for a classic buffalo flavor experience!
